Description: The Hungarian name of this region is Dunakanyar, “The curl of the tunnel”. Our trip begins in the most important and holiest city of the Hungarians: Estergon (Esztergom). This city used to be the capital of Hungary and still is a religious center today. The Ottomans left a deep mark on the city, which is 60 km away from Budapest.

In our tour, we will visit Hungary’s largest church and Basilica. Then we’ll walk along side the river and enjoy the view over Slovakia. From there, we’ll have lunch in the city of Visegrád (Visegrad), in a restaurant that han authentic character which will remind you of the middle ages. After filling our belly, we continue to the village of artists, Szentendre, and take some time to shop around. Szentendre is a charming baroque town: its colorful houses, Serbian churches, and narrow back streets are beautiful. This peaceful place is ideal for buying souvenirs and for a wonderful walk.
